Our Philanthropic Activities

Junic is a company sensitive to the needs of the surrounding community. Each year, Junic demonstrates its commitment by donating a portion of its revenue to various social and health organizations and institutions within the greater Outaouais region.

Junic supports a variety of community causes

For Junic, supporting the community and contributing to its success are essential to its own growth and development. Based on the strength of its convictions, the company makes a point of supporting a number of non-profit organizations by contributing a portion of its annual revenues to those community causes closest to its heart. Whether its for the “Builder for a Day” event, the University of Ottawa, Opération Enfant Soleil, Cyclo-Coeur, the Cystic Fibrosis Society, Centraide, Itinérance Zéro, the Outaouais Portuguese Centre or the Centre hospitalier pour enfants de l’est de l’Ontario (CHEO), year after year, Junic shows its support to causes it cares about.

Junic Donates $5,000 to Centraide Outaouais

In 2015, Junic Construction got into the Holiday spirit by giving a cheque for $5,000 to Centraide Outaouais. It’s largely thanks to the funds collected by this organization that our collective quality of life continues to improve each day. It’s why Centraide Outaouais is able to support initiatives that help our youth, improve living conditions for the most vulnerable, and create supportive communities within the heart of our big and beautiful region.

A $1 million donation to the Ottawa Hospital

In 2012, after being diagnosed with an aggressive form of prostate cancer, Junic founder Charles Tremblay underwent a surgical intervention at the Ottawa Hospital that saved his life. After the surgery, the Tremblay family donated one million dollars to the Ottawa Hospital robotics program. Named the Da Vinci program, the program’s goal is to enable more people to benefit from technology at the cutting edge of prostate cancer treatment.

Junic Donates $10,000 to Ottawa Region’s Cancer Foundation

To highlight their 30th anniversary this year, Construction Junic is celebrating 2015 and its 30 years of success by encouraging projects and organizations that are making a real difference in the beautiful Gatineau community. As such, a total of $30,000 will be injected through cash donations between now and the end of the year.

A first big donation of $10,000 was given to the Ottawa region’s Cancer Foundation. The money will be used toward providing care and research designed to prevent, detect, diagnose and cure cancer. The foundation’s mission is to help support people living with cancer and provide residents in the region better access to personalized care, especially through coaching, health and social care, innovative cancer research and a clinical trial program of international caliber.

Stay tuned, as even more good things are in the works to highlight Construction Junic’s 30 years!
