JUNIC CONSTRUCTION
Junic Construction, a family-owned and operated company founded in 1984, has built an enviable reputation of reliability and excellence that is second-to-none. Back in 1984 it would have been difficult for founders, Charles and Dorothy Tremblay, to imagine that their business would one day gain provincial acclaim and become the homebuilder with the largest housing development in Quebec: Gatineau’s LE PLATEAU sector in the Outaouais.
The company's mission
Junic Construction is dedicated to building homes and condominiums of outstanding quality, design and expert workmanship. Junic builds homes for living – homes that will take you through the busy decades of family growth to the years of personal exploration and enrichment. Each Junic home design incorporates meticulous attention to detail and ensures that your lifestyle is accommodated beautifully, now, and for many years to come.
“Our vision and our work ethic has not changed over the past 25 years. Our mission was to build quality homes and it remains the same today,” notes Dorothy Tremblay.
The founders and their contribution to the company
Charles, Dorothy, and sons Justin and Nicolas are personally involved in all aspects of construction, from designing the Junic homes to overseeing them being built on site. “For over 25 years,” explains Dorothy Tremblay, “we have been scrutinizing all the homes we build, constantly looking for ways to improve them.”

The successors – sons join the company
In 2003, Justin and Nicolas Tremblay (Charles and Dorothy’s two sons), whose names inspired the “Junic” title, joined the company on a full-time basis as co-owners along with their parents. Justin is the Director Residential Development while Nicolas is the Director Construction Sites. This family succession will ensure the stability and longevity of Junic Construction.
Recognition – Junic’s awards
In November 2010, Junic Construction was named “Builder of the Year – category Group Residential Project ” and '' Builder of the Year – category Single-family Homes – average value of units between $200,000 and $300,000 (30 units and over)'' at the annual Garantie Qualité-Habitation gala (Association de la construction du Québec). The Tremblay’s company is now recognized throughout Quebec. At the 19th annual Gala Habitation in October 2009, Junic Construction was named BUILDER OF THE YEAR - PERFORMANCE / EXELLENCE. This exceptional award recognizes the performance and excellence of a company that despite a production well above average, has maintained a judicious choice of labour and subtrades ensuring its customers a top quality product.
Also in 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2008, Junic Construction was named “Builder of the Year – Residential Project Category” at the annual
Garantie Qualité-Habitation gala (Association de la construction du Québec). In 2007 Junic also won "Builder of the Year - New Condominiums" for their Urban Condos in Le Plateau.

Junic today
One of the Outaouais’ major construction companies
Since it was established, Junic Construction has built over 2000 housing units – single-family homes, semi-detached homes, townhomes, triplexes and condominiums. Since the early 90s, the high number of referral sales (often within the same families) clearly attests to just how reputable Junic houses and condos are. “When one recommends a home builder to a family member or a close friend, it is concrete proof of their faith in that company,” Charles Tremblay proudly states.
Expertise and advice
Daily presence of co-owners – quality guaranteed
“The whole family is directly involved in the company, we believe in a "hands-on" approach to business. I mainly look after the financial aspect of the business, marketing and planning new models. Charles oversees the overall management and daily operations of the business. In his role as Director Residential Development, Justin coordinates estimating and purchasing. Nicolas, the Director Construction Sites, is responsible for the supervision of the construction sites,” explains Mrs. Tremblay.
“Our presence is key,” she adds. “You cannot run a business properly if you do not have a daily presence. How would you know that you are building a quality home if you haven't been on site to see it?”
